PEN CEFN COTTAGE HOLIDAYS BOOKING
CONDITIONS
The contract for hire is between you as the hirer and Pen Cefn Cottage
Holidays. (Known as Pen Cefn hereafter). The contract does not take effect
until Pen Cefn dispatches written confirmation of your booking to you.
1. Hire terms. All terms are quoted in £ sterling per week occupied. As soon
as your booking is confirmed by Pen Cefn in writing the hire terms are
guaranteed.
2. Provisional Bookings will be held for 7 days pending written confirmation
and the deposit from you.
3. A non-refundable £50.00 per week deposit is payable for each week booked.
4. Balance of payment, which is non-refundable, is payable 28 days before
the start of your holiday. (We offer a cancellation insurance at a low cost)
5. When last minute bookings are made less than 29 days before the start of
your holiday the full rental is payable at the time of booking
6. The maximum number of persons allowed to sleep in each holiday home is
specified in the brochure. This number may not be exceeded (except in the
case of “cot sized” children) and Pen Cefn reserves the right to terminate
hire without notice and without refund for breach of this condition. (Our
insurance will not cover such a breach of contract in the event of a claim
so it is for your safety.)
7. Pets are permitted by prior arrangement only. A charge will be made for
each pet. We reserve the right to refuse pets. Owners are fully responsible
for their pets at all times and must not leave them in the cottage
unattended, or allow them to sleep on the beds or other furniture.
8. All holidays start at 4 pm on arrival day and end at 10 am on departure
day. Keys should be collected from Pen Cefn between 4 pm and 6 pm on arrival
day. If this is inconvenient, please telephone us and we will endeavour to
make arrangements to suit you.
9. Bookings from persons under 21 years of age cannot be accepted. At least
one occupant must be over 21, be the responsible person and stay throughout
the holiday. The property must not be transferred to another party without
permission of Pen Cefn. One adult member of the party must sign the booking
information form and that signature will be for and on behalf of all other
members of the party.
10. The Hirer is responsible for the cottage and undertakes all reasonable
care of it and to keep it clean. We accept that breakages do happen and ask
that you let us know, to enable us to replace small items free of charge, so
that our next guests are not inconvenienced. We reserve the right to make a
charge for more substantial damage. We retain the right to enter the cottage
at any reasonable time to carry out repairs deemed necessary to the property
or equipment. You will be advised of any such necessity wherever possible,
and we undertake to cause as little inconvenience as possible
11. Unsuitable Hirers. Pen Cefn reserves the right to refuse a booking or to
hand over a cottage to any person deemed by us to be unsuitable or incapable
of taking charge. In this case, the hire terms paid shall be refunded in
full and the contract shall be discharged without further liability on
either party. Pen Cefn reserves the right to repossess the holiday cottage
at any time where damage or nuisance has been caused by the Hirer or any
member of the Hirer’s party or, in the opinion of Pen Cefn, is likely to be
caused by the hirer or any member of the Hirer’s party. In such a case Pen
Cefn shall not be liable to make a refund of any portion of the hire terms
paid.
12. Smoking is not permitted in any of the cottages although guests are free
to smoke outside.
13. Fireworks are not permitted in any building, garden or land belonging to
Pen Cefn, under any circumstances.
14. Pen Cefn does not accept any liability for loss or damage to personal
effects, baggage or vehicles belonging to the Hirer or any member of the
Hirer’s party except in so far as the damage arises from a substantial
defect existing in the cottage or the surrounding area which was known or
should have been known to Pen Cefn but for negligence on the part of Pen
Cefn
